''Acleris sparsana'' is a moth of the family Tortricidae. It is found from western Europe to the Caucasus and Iran.〔, 2009: A brief study on the tribes Tortricini and Archipini (Lepidoptera: Tortricinae) from Iran. ''Entomofauna'' Band 30, Heft 10: 137-152.〕 The wingspan is 18–22 mm. The moth flies from June to May of the following year. The larvae The larva at first lives in a slight web on the underside of a leaf of ''Fagus'', ''Carpinus'', ''Acer pseudoplatanus'' or ''Acer campestre''. Later on, it constructs a chamber between spun leaves as a base from which to feed on the surrounding foliage. Pupation occurs in the leaves, or in a slight cocoon on the ground.
